TEMPS DE FLORS

· May 2011 and May 2013

· Girona Temps de Flors

· Installations for the exhibition

· Installation made with Ester Arnau, Enna Camús, Helena Frigola, Laura and Berta Perez Puig

The project recreates a small forest inside the courtyard, with large yellow balloons tied with corrugated steel bars to the pots. Our goal is to make visitors enter the courtyard and, through the balloons placed at different heights, be able to glimpse the houses and the sky between these “trees”.

· Installation made with students of the Postgraduate of Interior Design

The project recreates the spring rain, grouping ten thousand plastic cups with cellophane paper and gerbera daisies in yellow, orange and red. We also installed an irrigation canal above the courtyard in order to recreate the rain as the cups will be filled by the end of the exhibition.

Our inspiration comes from the lavender fields of Italian Provence. This mediterranean aromatic plant fits perfectly as it can resist all the duration of the exhibition and has a strong monochromatism highly contrasted by the grey walls of the courtyard. Also it has another great value: its natural smell is one of the main strengths of the project.

When visitors enter the house through the porch there is a carpet that covers the entrance filled with lavender flowers that give off their scent when stepped on. Once in the main space, there are bunches of lavender tied with threads (head down to keep the aroma) setting the whole space.
